A PRACTICAL PLAN FOR SAFER, STRONGER, WORKING COMMUNITIES.

South Africa faces two crises that feed each other and these are crime and unemployment. Crime scares away investment and jobs. Joblessness drives more crime. Our plan is designed to break that cycle.

THE PROBLEM

South Africa has far too few police officers for its population. At the same time, trained private security officers stand on almost every street corner, but they are only allowed to protect the property that pays them.

OUR PLAN

We will campaign for private security officers who are properly trained, vetted and in good standing to be formally integrated into the SAPS police reserve, with state-funded stipends. They would work alongside police to prevent crime and respond faster in the neighbourhoods they already know.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

More visible, trained people on your streets. Faster response when something goes wrong. And more income for security workers who live in your community.

24-hour-economy

Priority 2 -
Build a 24-hour
economy

THE PROBLEM

Most economic activity in our towns and townships stops at sunset, largely because people do not feel safe after dark. That limits trading hours, shifts and jobs.

OUR PLAN

We will champion the establishment of a 24-hour economy, backed by the visible security needed to make it work, so that shops, transport, factories and services can operate around the clock.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Longer trading hours for local businesses, more shifts available for workers and more reasons for investors to build in your area.

industrialisation

Priority 4 -
Drive industrialisation and job creation

THE PROBLEM

Too much of what South Africans buy is made elsewhere, and too many young people cannot find work.

OUR PLAN

Industrialisation is the heart of our economic policy. We will push for more manufacturing, infrastructure development and industrial activity in South Africa, with a focus on long-term employment.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Real, lasting jobs closer to home — and skills that young people can build a career on.

crime

Priority 5 -
Fight crime and corruption without fear or favour

THE PROBLEM

Corruption steals the money meant for your roads, clinics and schools, and it weakens trust in the institutions that are supposed to keep us safe.

OUR PLAN

We will support every initiative that reduces crime and corruption, strengthens accountability and rebuilds confidence in the institutions responsible for public safety and governance. In our own structures, misuse of resources is a disciplinary offence.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Public money that reaches the services it was meant for, and institutions you can trust again.

Community

Priority 6 -
Put community wellbeing at the centre

THE PROBLEM

Safety alone is not enough if families cannot afford food, save money or plan for the future.

OUR PLAN

Guided by our Five Pillars of Security, we will advocate for policies that strengthen food security, financial resilience and strong community networks. Over the long term, we aim to establish the Security Personnel Bank of South Africa  a financial institution built around the needs of security workers and their communities.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR COMMUNITY

Families who are not just safer, delivery of services, more jobs created, influence in policy making on issues that affect you and your family and communities that work together to support one another.
